Michelin hires Arun Jaura as project director of research and development

MUMBAI: Michelin, the global tyre major has hired Arun Jaura, an automotive expert with decades of experience in OEMs such as Ford in the US and Mahindra in India, and Tier 1 suppliers as project director of R&D.

Jaura is known for nurturing talent and harnessing advanced technologies at affordable cost for mass market deployment. Besides many successful vehicle platforms and systems Jaura was instrumental in launching the SUV Hybrid at Mahindra. At the Common wealth games his team at Eaton worked with Tata to demonstrate CNG hybrid buses. With patents, technical papers to his credit in the industry and government network, Michelin is leveraging his experience to develop and launch 'Make in India for India and for the World' premium products.

For the last two years, he is working with industry, government and research labs in actively shaping the implementation of National Mission on Electric Mobility.
