The acquisition, announced earlier on October 17, 2024, was finalised after receiving the Competition Commission of India’s (CCI) approval on April 22, 2025.
The acquisition was completed at an equity value of Rs 746.46 crore, which includes Rs 189.48 crore in cash on AAM India’s books. This cash reserve is expected to be utilised to address future growth opportunities for the company.
Bharat Forge stated that the final equity value remains subject to net working capital adjustments as of June 30, 2025.
The acquisition brings into BFL’s fold an established automotive component supplier with a strong track record of catering to both traditional and new mobility technology segments across leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
“We are acquiring an entity which has a formidable name in the automotive products space supplying to all major OEM across traditional and New Mobility technology. This acquisition will enable us to complement our component offerings with products solutions to OEMs in India & Globally,” BFL said in a statement.
