I joined ET Prime to write on the auto sector, which is in the throes of complex regulatory changes and a shift towards premium models in India, while technological disruption upends its fundamentals globally. Earlier, I worked at credit-rating firm Crisil, where I researched Indian auto majors. I also have over a decade’s experience as an equity analyst at domestic and multinational brokerages and wealth-management firms. I am fascinated by the auto industry in India - a rare desi industry accepted as a world leader thanks to its clout in value engineering.
