I write on emerging businesses and have been obsessed with the way the tech economy has challenged the old economy in the last decade and a half. I started my career with the much heated telecom spectrum auctions and the scams and scandals that followed next. But very soon the likes of Flipkart, Paytm and Snapdeal became the buzz word with millions and millions of dollars falling in their kitty from foreign investors (Trust me, millions used to be big numbers then!). My focus quickly shifted from telecom to this new and naive sector and since then it has been a splendid news journey. While stories across food-tech, express grocery, fin-tech and hospitality excite me, I also easily get swayed away by good leads across beats. When not chasing stories, I can be seen sowing vegetables on my terrace or rekindling the amature chef in me in my kitcken. Some of my previous stints include Moneycontrol, Mint and VC Circle.
