Dr. Niti Nandini Chatnani is a Professor of Finance at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi. She teaches courses on Corporate Finance, Investment Management, Derivatives and Commodity Markets. She also is Head of the Alumni Affairs at IIFT. Her PhD is in the area of “Microfinance for Women’s Empowerment in India”. She has 30 years of teaching experience at the MBA and Executive MBA levels in Business Schools, and has authored several research papers, case studies, newspaper articles and a popular book titled “Commodity Markets and Derivatives”. Her second book on “Financial Literacy” is in the publishing pipeline. She has attended the “Global Colloquium on Participant-Centered Learning” at the Harvard Business School in 2011-2012. Dr. Chatnani was awarded as the “Best Teacher in Financial Management” in 2015 by LOKMAT National Education Leadership Awards. Dr. Chatnani has supervised several PhD students, and serves as an editorial member for various journals, as a PhD evaluator, and as a visiting faculty in many prestigious B-Schools. She is passionate about using her skills as an educator to share knowledge and is particularly focused on serving the underprivileged sections. Her other passions include working to support education for all, promoting financial literacy among Indian women and youth, conserving the environment and travelling.
