Ranbaxy beats, Lupin lags estimates

Ranbaxy Laboratories rose 6.1 per cent on Tuesday, after the pharma major reported a net profit of Rs 478 crore for the quarter ended September 30, which was higher than Street estimates. The pharma major reported a net loss of Rs 454 crore in the corresponding quarter of last fiscal. Lupin, however, lagged estimates as its US and Japan businesses failed to fire.
