PM Modi to directly monitor pending projects
Top government sources say that the Project Monitoring Group is likely to be brought under the direct control of the PMO. PMG is at present under the ambit of the Cabinet Secretariat, and its transfer to the PMO could help PM Modi fast-track projects in the coal, power, steel and infrastructure sectors, which are presently stuck due to a maze of clearances.
