Oil cos can hike kerosene price by 25 paise per month
The government has paved the way to prune fuel subsidy. On July 1, it raised the price of kerosene by 25 paise a litre, the first time in five years. But this is not a one-off move, two people familiar with the government decision told ET. Oil companies have received the green signal to increase kerosene price by 25 paise every month till April 2017, a move that has not been publicly announced.
