'Innovative policy tools are of no help in taming inflation'
The Reserve Bank of India governor Raghuram Rajan implicitly justified his decision to raise rates to tackle high inflation. Using unconventional tools to conduct monetary policy may not be an advisable option as it could create some new set of problems, he said.
