Auditors worried over tougher norms
Indian auditors are a worried lot. The NSEL scam has brought to the fore, the lapses on the part of auditors, so much so that NSEL investors have now filed a criminal complaint against for alleged negligence. The govt is well prepared though as errant auditors are now bound to face stiff penalties under the Companies Act.
