Sensex surges 260 points, Nifty50 above 7,800
Tracking the proceedings in Asian markets ahead of the holiday season, the 30-share S&P BSE Sensex closed at 25,850.30, up 259.65 points or 1.01 per cent. The broader market barometer, Nifty50, rose 7,865.95 points or 1.03 per cent.
