Sensex snaps four-day winning streak

The S&P BSE Sensex ended its four-day winning streak and closed nearly 80 points lower as investors booked profits in frontline banks, capital goods and oil & gas stocks which had moved sharply higher recently. The 30-share index ended at 24,298.02, down 78.86 points or 0.32 per cent. The Nifty ended at 7,252.90, down 22.60 points or 0.31 per cent.
