Sensex snaps five-day losing streak

The S&P BSE Sensex ended in the positive terrain for the first time after 5-day decline even as the European markets remained weak. Losses in IT, pharma and realty were offset by gains in oil & gas, capital goods and metals. The 30-share index closed at 22,436.01, up 32.12 points or 0.14 per cent. The Nifty ended at 6,699.35, up 4.55 points or 0.01 per cent.
