Trade war fears more posturing than real threat: Motherson's Vivek Chaand Sehgal

Opining his views on the big trends in import tariff around the world, Motherson Sumi chairman Vivek Chaand Sehgal said, "It is a matter between countries and they have their own necessities. But I have seen that there is more posturing involved. There are some basic steps that are taken depending on the outcome of the talks." Sehgal expressed confidence that they, as a supplier, don't see any effect on demand, and, he added, "if the cost goes up, it goes across the board. So, it is alright."
