General Electric is betting on a manufacturing turnaround after the election to revive its fortunes in India as a prolonged economic slump has left it lagging other emerging markets. Jeff Immelt, the straight-talking boss of the world's biggest industrial equipment and infrastructure firm said that he wants the new Indian government that will assume office after May 16 to end the uncertainty and give a push to infrastructure.
