ET HR Excellence Awards: Recognising technology that delivers measurable HR impact

As organisations rethink how they attract, manage and engage talent, technology has become an increasingly important part of the HR function. The Economic Times HR Excellence Awards 2027 brings together more than 30 categories across three segments: Organisation Excellence (23 categories), Team Excellence (6 categories) and leadership honours (4categories), recognising organisations' HR teams and leaders that have created measurable impact across the workplace.

One of the categories within the awards is “HR Technology Provider of the Year”, which recognises HR technology companies whose solutions have helped organisations achieve demonstrable improvement across the employee lifecycle. From HRMS and HCM suites to applicant tracking systems, performance and engagement platforms, and workforce management solutions and analytics tools, the category focuses on technology that delivers more than functionality; it looks at the outcomes achieved by the organisation using it.

For HR technology providers, the ability to demonstrate real-world impact is central to the category. Eligible providers can be of any size, with the award open to companies and platforms that have delivered measurable results for their clients. Entries are expected to demonstrate verifiable client outcomes, showing how the technology has addressed a specific HR challenge and contributed to improvements in areas such as recruitment, workforce management, employee engagement, performance or overall HR effectiveness.


A key requirement of the category is the submission of two named, contactable client references. These references provide an opportunity to validate the outcomes presented in the nomination, with the evaluation process allowing the Expert Panel to contact the nominated clients where required. This places evidence and client experience at the centre of the assessment rather than relying solely on product claims.

The category is therefore designed for HR technology providers that can demonstrate how their solutions work in live organisational environments and what changes they have enabled for their clients. By bringing measurable outcomes, documented impact and client validation into the nomination process, HR Technology Provider of the Year highlights technology providers contributing to the evolving effectiveness of HR functions.
