Billionaire Harsh Mariwala, who created successful FMCG brands like Saffola and Parachute, has some wisdom to share to drive away your mid-week blues.

Taking to Twitter, the 73-year-old said that life is a never-ending journey of learning. To grow and be successful in life, every individual must spend time developing new skills and expanding knowledge. Keep an open mind, step out of your comfort zone and take risks, said Mariwala


"Life is a continuous journey of learning and growth. Make an effort to expand your knowledge, develop new skills, and explore new opportunities. Keep an open mind and a curious spirit, and don't be afraid to take risks and step out of your comfort zone," he tweeted.


Earlier in the day, the businessman decided to share some entrepreneurial lessons with his 936.5K followers. He said that having the ability to transform challenges into opportunities is a sign of being a successful entrepreneur.

"At its core, entrepreneurship is about recognising and seizing opportunities that others may overlook or view as problems. Successful entrepreneurs have the ability to transform challenges into opportunities for innovation and growth. Remember adversities are opportunities showing up as imposters," he wrote in another tweet which got more than 10K views.


However, Mariwala said never to be disheartened if someone else performs a task better. The best way to tackle such a situation is to learn from others and chart out your growth plan.

"It is inevitable that there will be someone who excels at the same activity as you. Do not be disheartened. Instead, take the opportunity to learn from them and then carve your own path," his other tweet read.


Sharing his thoughts on leadership, Mariwala said that a true leader knows how to empower and inspire. Just leading people isn't enough.

"You do not become a leader by just leading people. You become a leader when you inspire and empower them to achieve their full potential. When you empower someone, you are telling them that you believe in them and that you trust them to make the right decisions," he added in another post.


The FMCG King often shares business, leadership and entrepreneurship lessons on social media. He likes to use the hashtag #HarshRealities - a wordplay of his first name and the title of his book - for his posts.

The book is a compilation of lessons Mariwala learnt during his Marico journey that can help aspiring entrepreneurs. Published by Penguin India, it is co-authored by Ram Charan and is available on Amazon and Flipkart.
