Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar Trailer: Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor slay in modern love story

The trailer for Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar has finally been released. This romantic comedy, directed by Luv Ranjan, promises sizzling chemistry between the lead couple and is a colourful new take on the genre. As the characters of Ranbir and Shraddha easily fall in love but struggle to break up, they must deal with a slew of bizarre situations that put their patience to the test.

The three-and-a-half-minute trailer introduces the leads as they describe the new-age relationship, which is easy to get but extremely difficult to get out. Shraddha is seen saying that she can't just do timepass with anyone, but needs someone appropriate," when Ranbir tries to win her over by asking if she is interested in love or just time passing. As things progress, they develop a casual relationship, and their families become involved. Both of them get engaged while attempting to act as if they did not initiate the breakup.

They try several tricks to blame each other, but they all fail. Will their families force them to marry or will they be able to divorce? The film is about what happens next. Dimple Kapadia appears in the trailer as Ranbir's mother, and comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi appears as Ranbir's best friend.


Shraddha was last seen in Varun Dhawan's Bhediya. Ranbir's most recent film, Brahmastra, was made under the direction of Ayan Mukerji.
