Isha Ambani, husband Anand Piramal become parents to twins

Isha Ambani-Piramal and Anand Piramal on Sunday announced that the couple was blessed with a set of twins on Saturday, November 19, news agency IANS reported. They are - a baby girl named Aadiya and her twin brother Krishna. Both the infant siblings are doing well, said the two elated families, rejoicing over the happy development.

"We seek your blessings and good wishes for Aadiya, Krishna, Isha and Anand in this most important phase of their life," said the proud grandparents Nita and Mukesh Ambani, and Swati and Ajay Piramal.

Mukesh Ambani, 65, has three children - twins Akash and Isha and youngest son Anant. Isha is married to Anand Piramal, son of Piramal Group's Ajay and Swati Piramal.


The heirs of the two leading business families, Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal got married in Mumbai in a high-profile wedding ceremony that was attended by the country's who's who in December 2018.

Isha, 30, currently serves as executive director of Reliance Retail Ventures. Piramal runs the financial services businesses of the Piramal Group.

Isha, a Yale University graduate and a former McKinsey & Co. consultant, kicked off Reliance’s e-commerce foray into fashion retail in 2016 by starting online shopping portal Ajio. Like Jio Platforms, Reliance Retail Ventures also brought on board many investors like General Atlantic and KKR & Co. in 2020, valuing the retailer at as much as $62 billion then.
