Former Prime Minister of UK Boris Johnson, bunked from Parliament to give a £135,000 speech in Colorado. He seems to be kicking off his cashing-in crusade by having a star-turn conference at the same time when the session was going on 5,000 miles away.
The sitting Member of Parliament talked to insurance brokers about when he went to Germany to share a bottle of Emmanuel Macron's wine with Angela Merkel. The speech continued for around 30 minutes, after which a 45-minute fireside chat happened.
According to reports, Boris Johnson has even re-joined a family holiday. In total, £135,000 was paid for that speech.
Boris Johnson missed Parliament and even a vote on repealing his national insurance on Tuesday. The reports suggest that Boris Johnson is preparing to get well-paying outside jobs once his three-month ban is uplifted.
Earlier as well, there were reports of the former prime minister breaking Acoba's rules and doing outside jobs.
But the Colorado speech was considered a breach of the rule.
But Boris Johnson will have to get Acoba's permission before doing any outside work.
Taking outside work is completely banned within three minutes of resignation.
