Twitter has accused Elon Musk of hiding late-night texts he despatched to enterprise mogul Larry Ellison earlier than pausing a deal to purchase the social media platform. It is reported that Elon Musk texted the business mogul on May 12 and 13 until midnight, according to a Twitter court filing from September 16.

In the following four hours, Mr. Musk tweeted that he would not proceed with the deal unless he had more information about fake accounts and bots.





Elon Musk notified the Securities Exchange Commission on July 8 that he was backing out of the purchase.

On September 16, Twitter wrote to the Delaware Court of Chancery claiming that Elon Musk's lawyers did not provide the subpoenaed messages.

The social media company also subpoenaed Mr. Ellison August, a former Tesla board member. There has been a long-standing friendship between Mr. Musk and Mr. Ellison, who pledged a $1 billion investment in his friend's Twitter bid.

On October 17, Twitter and Larry Musk will go to court in Delaware to resolve the billionaire's attempt to cancel the purchase, which was approved by Twitter's board and its shareholders.

In the case, all depositions must be completed by September 29, with Mr. Musk scheduled to testify this week.
