'An amazing day to come back home.' Priyanka Chopra reunites with daughter and husband Nick Jonas after wrapping 'Citadel', shares picture

Priyanka Chopra Jonas wrapped up her upcoming Amazon Original series 'Citadel' just in time to get back to her loving family for Father's Day. On Sunday, the actress shared an adorable picture of her daughter Malti Marie taking baby steps with her singer-father Nick Jonas.

The father-daughter duo flaunted their cute matching shoes in the picture as Jonas held the toddler’s hands and helping her learn to walk.

Malti Marie, dressed in an adorable floral red dress, matched her 'M-M' sneakers to her dad's white shoes with 'MM's-Dad' engraved on each side.


"Happy 1st Father’s Day my love. To watch you with our little girl is my greatest joy .. what an amazing day to come back home… I love you.. here’s to many more," PeeCee wrote in the picture's caption.

Jonas also took to Instagram to share a picture with his daughter and thank his wife PeeCee for gifting Father Daughter sneakers.

"First Father’s Day with my little girl. Thank you @priyankachopra for the incredible Father Daughter sneakers and for making me a daddy I love you so much. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads and caretakers out there. @divya_jyoti," he wrote.

In her Instagram Story, PeeCee was also seen wearing similar sneakers.

Earlier this year, the couple welcomed their first child together via surrogacy. The name Malti Marie honours both Chopra and Jonas’s cultural heritage.

Malti is an Indian name, and a nod to Chopra’s mom, as the ‘Barfi’ star’s mother’s full name is Madhumalti Chopra. The name has a Sanskrit origin and means a ‘fragrant flower’ or the ‘moonlight’.

Meanwhile on the work front, the 39-year-old actor, who kick-started shooting for ‘Citadel’ last year in January, announced the Atlanta schedule wrap on Instagram and shared a video depicting her journey.

"And it's finally a wrap! Thank you to everyone who made this mammoth task possible and fun. Thx Atlanta. See you next time. #Citadel," Chopra wrote.

‘Citadel’ is a multi-series franchise with local productions being made in Italy, India and Mexico. The action-packed spy series also stars Richard Madden and Roland Moller.
