Will form a new party & have a seat-sharing arrangement with BJP: Captain Amarinder Singh
Former Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh in a press conference confirmed that ahead of the state elections, he will form a new political party.

He further said that the new party will have 'plenty of Congressmen'. "Once our party is launched, we will fight all 117 seats; will it be adjustment seats or on our own...only time will tell," the former Punjab CM said.
On being probed about him still being a member of the Indian National Congress, Singh quipped "I have been with Congress for so long if I stay for ten days more what's the problem?"
"Ever since Sidhu joined, there has been a drop in Congress' popularity. We will fight Navjot Singh Sidhu where ever he contests from," he added. The name of the party & the symbol has not been revealed yet. No alliance has been formed yet, but he will meet with Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday
Speaking on his achievements as the Punjab CM in his last term, Singh said he fulfilled 92% of the promises made in the manifesto & that he will fulfill the promises he made to Punjab.
