ET Startup Awards 2021: Jury members share views on winning startup ideas
In the run-up to the ET Startup Awards 2021 jury meeting on September 24, ETtech will bring you what the jury members expect in a winner.

Deepinder Goyal, cofounder and CEO, Zomato

I believe there will be more than 100 new unicorns coming out of India in the next couple of years and as an outcome of the hard work of all these companies, we will witness a new India ten years from now. This future depends on the perseverance of entrepreneurs, who are knee-deep into their game and the impact they are looking to create. For me, this impact equals the convenience they bring for the end customers and the number of individuals and businesses they empower along the way. Another significant thing I would look out for is smart, thoughtful and relentless execution.
And most importantly, something that's always on my mind lately – are they making sustainable choices that are good for the planet?
Sachin Bansal, founder and CEO, Navi Technologies

I am looking forward to being a jury member for this year’s ET Startup Awards. The shortlisted startups have shown remarkable resilience and imagination in not only facing the challenges posed by the pandemic but in solving for an India that will be more online and digital in the post-pandemic period.
Such entrepreneurs and organisations are solving real world problems in imaginative and progressive ways and are inspiring many more young Indians to dream big. The ability to bring to life tech-enabled ways of solving current and anticipated challenges is what excites me the most. I congratulate ET for identifying these stories early and aiding the growth of India’s startup ecosystem.
Amit Agarwal, global SVP and country head, Amazon India
