Harsh Mariwala says he's 'not the kind of entrepreneur who wants to sell & monetise a business', wishes to leave behind a legacy

Marico chairman Harsh Mariwala has been busy on social media, sharing lessons from his journey and business insights for aspiring leaders, following the publication of his recent book. Titled 'Harsh Realities', a wordplay on his name, the business tycoon has co-authored the book with management guru Prof Ram Charan.

The 71-year-old has been posting his business lessons, failures and successes, on social media with the hashtag #HarshRealities.

In his latest Twitter post, the 71-year-old said that he is "not the kind of entrepreneur who wants to sell and monetize a business."


For Mariwala it is about leaving behind a legacy.

"I've always tried to think long-term and build an organization that outlives the people who made it. I hope to leave behind me a legacy that thrives through generations," the top boss said in a tweet along with his #HarshRealities hashtag.

In addition to sharing his thought process behind building an empire, Mariwala's Wednesday musings also included a question very important to the times we are living in.

"As an entrepreneur, what do you do to take care of your own mental health?," the billionaire businessman asked his 911.3K followers.


Mariwala also made his Instagram debut last month.
