Nawazuddin Siddiqui slams celebs posting vacation pics; asks them to have some shame

Several B-town celebrities have been vacationing in the Maldives.

Siddiqui slammed B-town stars for flaunting their vacation pictures at a time when the country was burdened by the pandemic.
India is battling its worst wave of Covid-19, with desperate calls for oxygen and hospital beds arising from every corner.

Bollywood on the other hand, seems to be on holiday mode with shoots cancelled, and a major part of B-town vacationing in Maldives. Janhvi Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Disha Patani, Sara Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are among the several celebrities who visited the island nation.

Several of these celebrities have been slammed for posting pictures of their trips on social media even as the world is ravaged by the pandemic.


The most-recent voice to speak out against celebrities flaunting their luxe lives on social media is actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

The 'Raat Akeli Hai' actor, speaking during in an interview with SpotBoyE, said, “These entertainment celebrities posting vacation pictures at a time when the world is reeling under the worst recession. …Logon ke pass khana nahin hai aur aap paise phenk rahe ho. Kuch toh sharm karo (People don’t have food and you are wasting money, have some shame)."
