Sonu Sood turns saviour again, arranges smartphones for students in remote Haryana village
Sood helped students attend online classes.

Reel-life antagonist and real-life hero Sonu Sood has been grabbing headlines ever since the 21-day nation-wide lockdown was imposed in India back in March. From his efforts to rescue migrants and help them return to their hometowns to him playing a good samaritan and helping Indians in need, Sood emerged as the hero who seemed to solve all our troubles.
On Tuesday, the Bollywood actor, along with PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) chairman, Karan Gilhotra, decided to distribute smartphones to students of Government Senior Secondary School at Morni’s Koti village, Haryana. Both addressed the students in a virtual event after delivering smartphones.
The students who were given the smartphones, did not have access to laptops or phones to attend online classes amid the coronavirus lockdown. Earlier on Monday, Indian Express had reported that the students from the village had to travel miles to access the smartphones for their online classes. Sood responded to the tweet, writing, "No more travelling for these kids. They will have their smartphones by tomorrow ."

Sonu Sood's tweet. This is not the first time that Sood has facilitated the education of underprivileged students. Earlier too, he helped a family in Himachal Pradesh who had to sell their cow, their only source of income, to buy a smartphone for their children’s online classes.
