Strive to be the best version of yourself: Martin Luther King's 1967 speech left an impact on Indra Nooyi
The social rights activist's speech helps former PepsiCo boss find a blueprint for her life.

In particular, she focussed on King’s 1967 speech ‘What is your life’s blueprint’: “Don’t just set out to do a good job. Set out to do such a good job that the living, the dead or the unborn couldn’t do it any better.” Speaking of the speech’s impact on her, she wrote on LinkedIn, “He reminds us that we can achieve anything we set our minds to, so long as we believe that we are capable and worthy. This speech has a profound impact on me — it is something I return to time and again as a blueprint for my own life. The words are just as true today as so many years ago. Whatever it is that we choose to do and aspire to be, we should strive to be the best version of that self,” she added.
