GoAir names former easyJet executive Cornelis Vrieswijk as CEO

In a statement, the airline said he will be reporting to the “Chairman (Nusli Wadia), Managing Director (Jeh Wadia) and the Board of Directors of GoAir.

MUMBAI: GoAir on Tuesday announced the appointment of former easyJet executive Cornelis Vrieswijk as its new CEO. In a statement, the airline said he will be reporting to the “Chairman (Nusli Wadia), Managing Director (Jeh Wadia) and the Board of Directors of GoAir.

The statement described Vrieswijk as a “seasoned global executive and a consultant with over 25 years of experience in aviation and travel industry”. It said he has had stints with Thomas Cook Group, easyJet and Transavia Airlines though in various roles, but didn’t elaborate what the roles were.

“Prior to joining us he was board advisor, One Tour Operator Transformation with the Thomas Cook Group PLC, UK,” the statement said.
