PepsiCo to roll out zero-sugar cola - Pepsi Black
PepsiCo is in the process of rolling out Pepsi Black, a zero-sugar cola in cans, to counter Coke Zero, reflecting the shifting consumer preference towards less sugary drinks in India.
PepsiCo senior VP (beverages) Vipul Prakash said: “This is about consciously increasing our play within the low-calorie segment. We are significantly accelerating our journey in our ‘portfolio withpurpose’ space and offering consumers multiple choices of beverages.”
The company has already done a test run of Pepsi Black with Subway. Prakash said PepsiCo would introduce one product every quarter. Pepsi Black will come packaged only in cans as of now.
