Shares of Alstom T&D India declined nearly 6 per cent in Wednesday's trade after the company reported a 44.72 per cent year-on-year (YoY) fall in March quarter net profit to Rs 29.87 crore.

NEW DELHI: Shares of Alstom T&D India ended with losses of 6.33 per cent on Wednesday after the company reported a 44.72 per cent year-on-year (YoY) fall in March quarter net profit to Rs 29.87 crore. The company had reported a net profit of Rs 54.03 crore for the corresponding quarter of last year.

Total income of the company tumbled 28.63 per cent to Rs 977.93 crore for the quarter from Rs 1,368.35 crore in the same quarter of last year. Other income fell 8 per cent to Rs 6.36 crore.

The stock fell 5.59 per cent to hit a low of Rs 357 on BSE. Order intake for the quarter stood at Rs 1,095 crore, up 34 per cent over the preceding quarter.
