Sonam Kapoor, Alia Bhatt attend Masaba Gupta and Madhu Mantena's reception

Fashion designer Masaba Gupta’s wedding reception to film producer Madhu Mantena on Sunday night at a five star hotel in Mumbai saw a galaxy of stars from Bollywood and the fashion fraternity.

Dressed in a bold Anamika Khanna creation, Gupta’s black and cream ensemble complemented her husband’s all black pathani. Actor Shahid Kapoor and wife Mira, close friends of the couple, drove up in a blazing red Porsche and stayed till close to midnight. Among other early birds were designer Wendell Rodricks, restaurateur AD Singh, businessman Ashok Wadhwa and actors Athiya Shetty and Sooraj Panscholi, who were glued to each other throughout the evening.

Kangana Ranaut, Arshad Warsi, Alia Bhatt, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Neha Dhupia and Riteish Deshmukh were amongst those who dropped by, close to midnight. A rain shower later in the evening didn’t stop guests from enjoying the open air dinner spread. The dessert buffet, with baked cheese cake, chocolate macarons, banana-walnut ice cream with mango and chocolate sauce and spiced apple cinnamon churros, had guests coming back for seconds.
