Congratulate Mr Ratan Tata on the JLR deal
U.S. automaker Ford has reportedly agreed to sell its luxury brands Jaguar and Land Rover to India's Tata Motors for more than $2 billion. With this deal, Tata Motors will acquire two big automobile brands; this acquisition will not only give it access to high end technology but also enable Tata Motors to spread its wings to other markets around the world.
For Ratan Tata, the successful completion of this deal is another significant achievement. After the much debated acquisition of steel maker Corus, Ratan Tata delivered the knockout punch when he successfully launched the much ridiculed Tata Nano; the car has attracted global attention. Now, he will be the owner of two of the world���s big auto brands.
