Agri commodities show mixed pattern of trading
Agri commodities lost some ground on Thursday on lack of triggers in the market and NCDEX registered a turnover of Rs 2,855 crore with active trade in chana, guar seed, soya oil and rape mustard seed.
Soya oil slipped to Rs 599 per 10 kg with a turnover of Rs 457 crore, soyabean closed down at Rs 2,126 per quintal with a turnover of Rs 236 crore and rape mustard seed traded higher at Rs 490 per 20 kg with a turnover of Rs 400 crore.
Pepper closed marginally down at Rs 14,729 per quintal, registering a turnover of Rs 159 crore, jeera prices were down at Rs 10,232 per quintal with a turnover of Rs 186 crore, sugar fell to Rs 1,394 per quintal and turmeric edged down to Rs 3,020 per quintal with a turnover of Rs 87 crore.
Turnover on MCX at 5 pm was Rs 6,141.04 crore. Bullion turnover was of Rs 3,736 crore.
Gold contracts, including gold mini, gained between Rs 29 and Rs 91 per 10 gm. Gold April gained by 0.7%, at Rs 11,569 per 10 gm.
Silver contracts, including silver mini gained by Rs 123 and Rs 197 per kg. Silver March contract gained by 0.7% at Rs 21,417 per kg. In the base metals segment, copper contracts turnover was Rs 1,009.33 crore. The February contract gained by 1.3% at Rs 291.60 per kg. Turnover of all zinc contracts was Rs 259.57 crore.
Zinc February contract rose by 0.9% at Rs 95.25 per kg. Turnover of all nickel contracts was Rs 96.60 crore. February contract gained by 0.2% at Rs 1,067.50 per kg.
