BANGALORE: Fuelled by growing demand for knowledge process outsourcing (KPO) services, Evalueserve is planning to expand its operations. The company, started by Alok Aggarwal, will set up its first delivery presence in Europe with a centre in Romania this year.

Apart from this, two centres in India are on the anvil with the company eyeing a head count ramp-up to over 3,500 people by 2008-end.

Evalueserve chairman Alok Aggarwal told ET that the centre in Romania, set to start in May 2008, will cater to European clients. This centre will employ about 50 people by year-end.

Currently, Evalueserve has delivery centres in Gurgoan, Shanghai in China and Chile.

The company also has an office in New York. About 2,000 of its 2,200 staff are based in Gurgaon with 120 people working out of China and 80 from Chile.

The plan now is to hike numbers in the overseas centres of the company.
