Haryana Tourism invites sponsors for Surajkund Mela

The Haryana government is looking for corporate and banks sponsorship for its yearly crafts fair at Surajkund in Faridabad.

NEW DELHI: The Haryana government is looking for corporate and banks sponsorship for its yearly crafts fair at Surajkund in Faridabad.

The Haryana Tourism Corporation, which organises the crafts fair in collaboration with the Union Government, today invited expression of interest from sponsors for the 22nd Surajkund Crafts mela to be held from February 1-15, 2008.

The sponsors among other things would be allowed to display their products and mobile vehicles at the 15 day fair, which is visited by about five lakh people every year.

The Haryana Tourism Corporation would accept bids by January 10, 2008.

The Corporation as part of the revenue raising exercise would also sell rights to sponsors to display their logos and symbols on the entry tickets, publicity stickers, calendar for programme and hoardings to be set up in Delhi and Faridabad.

The Corporation is also seeking sponsors for cultural programmes which are organised at Natyashala, an open air theatre at the fair ground.
