'Out-of-box thinkers can create history for corporates'
It is only the 'out-of-box' thinkers who create a history of achievements, and not the regular workforce who give their 100 per cent in an organisation, say experts.
The "hot-spots" and the out-of-box thinkers are the ones responsible for extraordinary feats and not the regular workforce, they added.
Workplaces of the world which can create room for attracting such extraordinary talent, providing them with a platform to grow and function which are very different from those of an average mindset that set milestones for others to follow, experts at the All Indian Management Association's How HR Ignites Hot Spots Summit said.
"Some teams within an organisation buzz with energy, with the members being excited and full of ideas, they are the major contributors to an organisation's success with their original and innovative ideas," London Business School, Professor of Management Practice Lynda Gratton said.
For creating such people an organisation should have a co-operative environment which ignites employees or provides them with a runway to take off for a completely newer and unexplored destination, Gratton added.
Wipro and Tata Consultancy Services, Indian companies making a global presence have been able to provide such platforms for their masterminds, while globally telecom giant Nokia and global business consulting firm Goldman Sachs has been able to do so, Gratton who has spent more than a decade investigating hot-spots said.
"Excite the heart and the mind will follow, leadership should be friendly and not authoritative so that people in a workplace feel at ease while sharing the unique ideas," EREHWON Innovation Consulting CEO Rajiv Narang said.
