He further claimed that US controls the Strait of Hormuz, "not Iran".
"Last month, I directed our Great U.S. Military to execute a secret mission to support Oil Tankers and other Commercial Ships through the Straight of Hormuz," he said in a post on Truth Social. "Today, I am pleased to announce that this effort has resulted in more than 100 MILLION Barrels of Oil making its way through the Straight, and into the Open Market."
"More than 200 Commercial Ships have safely traveled through the Strait. This wildly successful effort is because the UNITED STATES of AMERICA CONTROLS the Strait of Hormuz — NOT Iran. Their military is defeated, and their economy is lost. It’s over for Iran!" he added.

Trump vows fresh strikes on Iran
Trump earlier warned that the United States will renew attacks on Iran, accusing Tehran's peace negotiators of "playing us for suckers.""We hit them hard yesterday. We're going to hit them again hard today," Trump told reporters. "We're going to be attacking them -- attacking them very hard."
He said he could order the targeting of Iranian bridges and power plants, a step he had originally threatened just before the ceasefire but never followed through on.
With US-Iran peace deal in progress for numerous weeks, the stalled talks have led to larger geopolitical uncertainties and mounting energy prices.
"We were really close to a deal, but they keep tapping us along, they keep playing us for suckers," Trump said.
"All they have to do is they have to start signing a paper. It's fully negotiated. We have it fully negotiated, but they're tapping and tapping, and I say, 'All right, let's give them a couple of more days.'"
