ASML lines up Elon Musk for virtual conference spotlight

Computer chip equipment maker ASML said on Saturday that Elon Musk will speak at an internal company technology conference this ‌week, discussing ⁠his vision ⁠for Terafab, a large scale chip plant that would supply Tesla and Space X.

ASML, as the largest supplier of chip-making equipment, is well-placed ​to become a ⁠vendor to ‌Terafab, and the ​company described ​itself as a collaborator ⁠in what it termed a "serious endeavor."

"Through Terafab, ​Musk and his team ​are becoming part of the broader semiconductor ecosystem, and many companies, including ASML, will collaborate" on it, ASML said.
