Anand Mahindra, who shared a photograph of Kohli celebrating after his match-winning fifty in IPL 2026 final against Gujrat Titans and described the RCB star as his source of Monday motivation. Royal Challengers Bengaluru's title defence on Saturday night was a team achievement. But for many fans, one image from the IPL 2026 final captured a much bigger story — Virat Kohli standing tall after guiding RCB to a second consecutive championship.

"Yes, it's a team sport. And this is a team victory," Mahindra wrote.

"But every championship has a story that comes to define it. This one belongs, in no small measure, to this man."

He went on to praise Kohli's "Loyalty, Commitment, Belief," adding that the batter stayed the course through years of disappointment and near misses before finally seeing his faith rewarded.

Mahindra concluded his post by saying Kohli's journey was inspiring regardless of profession and added, "There's no need for any other source of MondayMotivation."

Virat Kohli's IPL Journey A Lesson On Perseverance

Kohli's relationship with RCB stretches back to the inaugural IPL season in 2008. Over the years, he became the face of the franchise, remaining loyal despite several campaigns that ended in heartbreak.

For nearly two decades, the title remained elusive.

That changed in 2025 when RCB finally ended their long wait and lifted their maiden IPL trophy. A year later, they returned to the summit again, defeating Gujarat Titans by five wickets in the IPL 2026 final in Ahmedabad.

The back-to-back titles transformed what was once a story of near misses into one of redemption and resilience.
