After impressing audiences with his portrayal of Hamza in the Dhurandhar films, Ranveer Singh now reportedly appears set for a dramatic shift in his cinematic image. According to a report by Pinkvilla, the actor is expected to headline a large-scale adaptation of Amish Tripathi’s popular Shiva trilogy, widely recognised as The Immortals of Meluha series. However, author Amish Triphath has now denied these claims, clarifying that no deal has finalised for the adaptation rights. “The rights for the Shiva Trilogy are with me. And nothing has been signed with anyone as yet. Of course, I have huge respect for Ranveer, and am a big fan of his. But this news is not true," Amish said.

Ranveer Singh Acquires Rights To ‘The Immortals Of Meluha’

Earlier a Pinkvilla report had claimed that Ranveer has secured the adaptation rights to The Immortals of Meluha under his own production banner. A source close to the project reportedly stated that Ranveer has long been passionate about adapting the Meluha universe for cinema."The acquisition happened recently, and the project is now officially under development. Makers are approaching the franchise as a long-term cinematic universe and the plan is to tell the story over 3 films," the publication quoted a source as saying.

Work On Screenplay And World-Building Begins

Although the cast for the project has not yet been finalised, the makers have reportedly started working on the screenplay and extensive world-building process. Production for the first film in the trilogy is expected to begin in 2028.
