Virat Kohli was dismissed for a duck against the Mumbai Indians in a crucial IPL 2026 clash. Deepak Chahar provided that early breakthrough for the Mumbai Indians. It was his second consecutive duck.

Chasing 167, Royal Challengers Bengaluru suffered an early setback when Kohli departed without opening his account, putting immediate pressure on the middle order. His dismissal gave the Mumbai Indians a massive boost after posting a competitive total at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar delivered another superb spell, picking up 4/23 to help Royal Challengers Bengaluru restrict Mumbai Indians to 166/7, a total that appeared slightly underwhelming on the surface.

Tilak Varma top-scored with 57, while Naman Dhir contributed 47, but Mumbai’s top order once again struggled to make an impact, continuing a worrying trend this IPL season.

Earlier, RCB captain won the toss at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium and chose to field first. Both sides retained the same playing XI. RCB entered the contest looking to bounce back after consecutive defeats, while MI came in with renewed confidence following a win in their previous outing.
