Raja Shivaji Box Office Collection: Riteish Deshmukh's movie bags Rs 11.5 cr on day 2

Raja Shivaji has conquered the Marathi box office with Reliance's Jio Studios production bagging Rs 11.50 crore on the second day of its release. Directed by Riteish Deshmukh, the blockbuster is a historical epic and grand ode to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

On Day 1 of release on Friday, the movie's India net Box Office collection stood at Rs 12.40 crore, making the total to Rs 23.90 crore by Saturday.

Jio Studios & Mumbai Film Company’s production has turned into a cultural celebration across Maharashtra and beyond, with families and audiences flocking to cinemas in large numbers.


Earlier on Saturday, actor-director Riteish Deshmukh urged fans, asking them not to share spoilers online. He took to Instagram to share a video thanking viewers for their love and requesting them to protect the film's experience for others.

In his message, the actor urged fans not to record or upload scenes from theatres, especially key moments that could spoil the suspense. However, he said that viewers can still share photos or stills, as long as they do not reveal key parts of 'Raja Shivaji'.

Along with the video, Deshmukh shared a caption in Marathi that translates to, "A humble request: Please do not upload videos on social media while watching the movie."

The film 'Raja Shivaji' stars Abhishek Bachchan, Genelia Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sachin Khedekar, Bhagyashree, Fardeen Khan, Jitendra Joshi and Amole Gupte. The blockbuster movie also marks the acting debut of Riteish and Genelia's son, Rahyl.
