Amid talk of a Cabinet expansion in Bihar, former chief minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday shifted from the CM's residence at 1 Anne Marg to a new house at 7, Circular Road in Patna.
On Friday, Kumar participated in a special puja at the new residence. The shifting of his belongings continued on Saturday morning, after which he also moved in. Bihar CM Samrat Choudhary was among the first leaders to visit him at the new residence.

For nearly 20 years, 1 Anne Marg served as the hub of the political activity while Kumar lived there. In 2014, when Jitan Ram Manjhi was made CM, Kumar had shifted to 7, Circular Road for about eight months before returning after taking oath again.
Former CM Rabri Devi resides at 10, Circular Road, about 100 metres from Kumar's new house. While leaders continued to call on Kumar through the day, discussions on a Cabinet expansion also gathered pace.
On Friday, BJP national president Nitin Nabin met JD(U) working president Sanjay Jha at his residence in Delhi. Sources indicated that an expansion could take place between May 5 and May 10.
