The film, directed by Aditya Dhar and backed by Reliance's Jio Studios and B62 Studios, will be released in Japanese theatres with localised promotional material.

The official X handles of the production houses announced the Japan release with a promotional post stating,“It’s time for Japan to experience the Dhurandhar energy! Arriving in theatres across Japan on 10.7.2026.”
Box office performance
Dhurandhar has reportedly earned over Rs 1,328 crore worldwide since its release on December 5, 2025. The makers stated that the film delivered a strong international run, emerging as the No. 1 Hindi film of all time in North America.The production team also said the film became the highest-grossing Indian film in Canada and Australia and ranked among the top-performing Indian films in the United Kingdom.

Dhurandhar is the first part of a planned duology. The second instalment, titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge, is expected to continue the storyline involving deeper intelligence operations and conflict themes.
The film is written, directed and produced by Aditya Dhar, with Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar also credited as producers.
