In 2004, he transitioned to cinema with Aga Bai Arrecha!, directed by Kedar Shinde. Soon after, he secured another opportunity in Jatra, further strengthening his presence in regional cinema.

Facing Career Setbacks

Despite early acclaim, his career experienced a slowdown between 2013 and 2017 as several projects failed commercially. Work opportunities became scarce during this phase. Instead of retreating, he chose to evolve—refining his skills, connecting with filmmakers, and exploring roles beyond comedy.

Reinvention and Renewed Success

His efforts paid off when he returned with impactful performances in films like Faster Fene and the blockbuster Simmba, starring Ranveer Singh. By embracing both humorous and intense roles, he expanded his range and rebuilt his career trajectory.

A Powerful Presence on Television

In recent years, he has impressed audiences with his role in the series Marka King. Set in 1960s Mumbai, the story follows the rise of an ambitious cotton trader who transforms into a dominant gambling figure by introducing the game of Matka, reshaping a system once controlled by elites.
