Neetu Kapoor called her demise the “end of an era,” sharing an emotional note that reflected the collective feeling of loss across the country.

Her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle had earlier shared that the veteran singer was hospitalised due to extreme exhaustion and a chest infection. In her statement, Zanai had requested privacy for the family and expressed hope for recovery.
