Why no Joe Biden? Democratic Party Easter post with Barack Obama criticized for skipping Biden
Joe Biden is missing from the Democratic Party: The Democratic Party is facing criticism for an Easter post. The message featured former President Barack Obama but did not include current President Joe Biden. This omission sparked debate online. C...

The caption reads, “Better times at the White House.” The post does not include a picture or mention of Biden, and much of the reaction focused on this omission. Social media users questioned why the account appeared to invoke nostalgia for the Obama White House while bypassing the most recent former President Biden’s presidency altogether. “You guys never seem to mention Biden anymore. A user posted.
Others were more critical, with one comment reading, “Yes, of course. Viewing stuffed bunnies as the essence of Easter is in fact the essence of the atheist, racist Democrat Party that the other big-eared figure in that picture so eagerly led.”
The reaction followed a similar controversy involving Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s press office, which was criticized after posting a message encouraging users to repost “if you miss having a President with a functioning brain,” alongside an image of former President Barack Obama.
The Republican Party’s official account also weighed in, resurfacing a prior post from Newsom’s press office that read, “Happy birthday, President @JoeBiden! We miss having a president who has physical stamina — and a functioning brain.” The GOP account added, “We know you ‘can’t read’ but remember posting this?”
After facing backlash, the Newsom press office later posted a separate message praising Biden’s “empathy,” though the initial criticism continued circulating online.
But this post invited criticism from some Democrats who labeled Biden a dictator, and some compared him with Trump for his close ties with Israel. Social media reactions continue to circulate, with users offering varying interpretations of the post’s intent and timing, as well as drawing comparisons to other recent political messaging controversies.
