‘I felt very sad’: Dhurandhar 2 actor on his scenes being cut off from Ranveer Singh’s film. But one moment changed everything

Dhurandar: The Revenge, the sequel to Aditya Dhar’s ambitious project Dhurandhar, has been enjoying a dream run at the box office. The film, headlined by Ranveer Singh, has amassed an impressive Rs 1,466 crore worldwide at the box office. Dhurandhar 2, produced collaboratively by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, also stars Sara Arjun, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt and Rakesh Bedi to name a few. Amid Dhurandhar 2’s massive success, actor Vikramm Bhambri, who played the role of Shakeel Commando, one of Ranveer Singh’s gang members, revealed that he was left disappointed after several of his scenes were edited from the movie.

Vikramm Bhambri, in a conversation with the Times of India, shared that when the makers shortlisted him for Dhurandhar, he felt genuinely happy that his character had a name. The actor shared that although he had his doubts about the part, he made himself believe that since he had a name, his role would be important.

Vikramm Bhambri added that he was glad to share screen space with Ranveer Singh, especially because he would be portrayed as someone who would be in his team. But after Dhurandhar’s release on December 5, 2025, he was taken aback to find out that multiple sequences featuring the actor were chopped off, for reasons unknown. The lack of presence and visibility left him heartbroken.




While watching Dhurandhar with his parents, Vikramm Bhambri admitted feeling extremely upset because, according to him, all an actor wants while on the screen is visibility. Even though his parents tried to console him, telling him to be grateful, his heart would not agree. But a heartfelt encounter with a delivery agent changed his perspective. Vikramm remembered that one fateful day, the delivery person asked him whether he was in Dhurandhar and in that moment, Vikramm became the happiest person in the world.

After that interaction, Vikramm Bhambri realised that he should stop dwelling on why some of his scenes did not make it to the final cut. Instead, the actor felt genuinely thankful that he was chosen for such a big project like Dhurandhar. So, at present, he is simply basking in the success of the movie.

Dhurandhar 2 follows the story of Jaskirat Singh, a young man whose life takes a dramatic turn when he is imprisoned under dire circumstances. His life, however, takes a drastic turn when he is recruited by the government authorities as an undercover agent, aka Hamza Ali Mazari, to infiltrate the terror groups in Pakistan. The sequel explores his rise to dominance within that network through intelligence and calculated strategy.
