When actor-singer Paresh Pahuja released his song Dooron Dooron in 2022, the track slipped into oblivion without making much noise. But cut to a few years later, it has been ruling the charts and playing non-stop in Instagram reels as more and more people are recreating the melodious number with their own unique versions. But Pahuja, who also made an appearance in Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), has long stopped connecting his worth with likes and views. His inspiration? None other than the Bollywood Baadsha himself, Shah Rukh Khan.

Paresh Pahuja, in an interview with news agency ANI, got candid on his life, dreams, musical journey and acting profession. When asked what served as his biggest motivation, the 34-year-old said it was Shah Rukh Khan, without any hesitation.

Dooron Dooron singer on Shah Rukh Khan

Paresh Pahuja revealed that people who come to Mumbai with a bag full of dreams, much like him, all look up to one person — Shah Rukh Khan. He added that if you are an actor or someone related to the creative field, it must be your wish to either share screen space with him or become a huge superstar like him. His ambition was and still is the same because, according to Pahuja, SRK is someone who represents love, romance, possibility and everything Pahuja believes in.

Inspired by Shah Rukh Khan, Paresh Pahuja is now determined to connect with a larger audience through films and music. A recent example of the same has been reflected in the expansion of his concerts. Pahuja launched his Love Notes tour on March 27 at Delhi’s crowd-packed Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, which reverberated with Dooron Dooron. He performed the song twice at the audience's request.

More about Paresh Pahuja

Speaking about the Dooron Dooron, Paresh Pahuja recalled the track’s late bloom after he and his team made a live version of the track. The unplugged version started trending on social media, making him an overnight sensation. Pahuja, however, attributes the song’s success to the cards, claiming that some things are beyond logic. He, however, expressed gratitude to social media for popularising the song.

Paresh Pahuja made his film debut with YRF’s Tiger Zinda Hai, the sequel to Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif’s 2012 blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger. He played the role of Azaan Akbar, a sniper in the action entertainer. At present, Pahuja is gearing up for his upcoming concert, scheduled to be held in Bengaluru (April 3), Pune (April 12) and Mumbai (April 18).
